Calebros is the former Prince of New York City — the so-called Erstwhile Prince. He lives somewhere within Hypogea, the labyrinthine system of tunnels and aqueducts that make up the New York underground. He is difficult to contact, as politics leave a foul taste in his mouth. Though he disavowed any further official participation in the Court, he does remain fiercely loyal to the Ivory Tower.

During the long, protracted siege upon New York, then current Prince Michaela attempted to parlay with the Sabbat. He was, however, assassinated in the process. Calebros seized power in the aftermath, as no others were capable of retaking the city. He only spent a few scant years as Prince, during which New York was largely under Sabbat occupation. He was, and is, loyal to the Camarilla, but hate the politics involved. He may be the only Prince to ever abdicate his position.

He willingly stepped down as Prince, earning him more than a little disapproval in the eyes of the Camarilla. He hoped the vacancy would urge a new and committed Prince to claim Praxis however. Because Calebros was a wartime Prince, he observed no Primogen – though consulted an enclave of trusted advisors. He essentially ruled through martial law, with his sheriff – Rico Conway – being the only personnel to transition between regimes.
