Cherry Pit

The Cherry Pit is an underground brothel in Manhattan — literally underground, as it can only be accessed byway of an alley and recessed stairway. The only designating mark is a small, red neon sign that flashes "COME PLAY WITH ME". Once inside, the establishment is fronted by a small bar and gambling den. Two hallways fork off from there, each containing a number of doors leading to private rooms, as well as a larger "VIP room" at the end.

The Cherry Pit caught fire in January of 1986. ^2020/06/16
