INCIDENT REPORT
Welcome to Boleskine House...
- September 1912 — Scotland. Our group of occultists have each received an invitation to Boleskine House, on the shores of Loch Ness, to partake in a ritual of Ars Goetia with none other than Aleister Crowley. The Hermetic adept has been cloistered here, away from the London temple, for the last six months — allegedly preparing to summon and bind his guardian angel.
- The group individually steel themselves to stand before the so-called Wickedest Man in the World. But why? What promises have drawn them to these remote parts? As a highly controversial member of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, few occultists would seek such an association. Crowley’s public lifestyle is absolutely shocking. Even beyond the occult, he is proudly promiscuous with either gender, frequents brothels, is outspokenly antagonistic toward Christianity, and espouses the spiritual benefits of drug use.
- Each member of the group arrives individually in the village of Foyers, lying on the east shore of Loch Ness. Though Foyers has a single hotel and several guest houses, it has little in the way of tourist amenities beyond the tavern, café, tailor, supply store, and Post Office. Donkey and pony cars seem more common than automobiles, though hardly exclusive.
