Black Hand

The Tal'Mahe'Ra (Ghemalish: "Hand-Without-Sun"), also known as the Black Hand or Manus Nigrum, comprise a special subdivision of the Sabbat. A sect within a sect. They are an elite group of vampires recognized as separate from all other members of the sect, and as such are feared even among their peers. They primarily investigate rumors of infernalism within the Sabbat, but also lead inquisitions against outside heresies when the need arises. They wield almost absolute authority when present, and can even bring punishment unto Archbishops and Bishops if found guilty of sedition.
