Tess is everyone's favorite bar tender at O'Riley's Pub, she's beautiful, quick witted, and pours one hell of a drink. She always lends a listening ear to regulars and transients who want to drown their troubles at the bar. Tess is known for her sage advice, picking up on subtle cues given by her customers and using her powers of persuasion to nudge them in the right direction. When she's not behind the bar, Tess is working on her novel, 'Where the White Lilies Grow' in her room at her grandparents' house. Tess's grandparents, that is--this set of them, dote on her and take care of anything she might need. Though they are getting more and more forgetful these days. Which of their children was Tess's mother, or was one of them her father? They can't seem to recall. Never they mind, all that matters is that Tess is happy and free to work on her book, which they just know will be a best seller. It's coming out next year you know, they've seen the publishers letters, they think. To keep herself fed, Tess "adopts" several sets of grandparents spread out across the city of Toronto, flitting from house to house as need be.
