Arriving in the Nile Delta, she traveled up the river from Cairo to Abu Simbel. Her team's labors were fruitful, excavating the previously sealed burial chamber of a high priest of Sobek-Ra. Hailed as a triumph for the British Museum, it would be a curse for Catriona. Struck by the lingering magicks of Ra-Horakhty, she became fused with the Ka of Khaemweset — the mummy's essence filling the holes of her own soul to achieve Ma’at. Now having returned to Great Britian, Catriona obfuscates her inherited powers in the guise of the fashionable Spiritualism Movement. Though possessing a haughty skepticism, she has become a spirit operator herself, fleecing séance attendees.
