This once towering beacon of art decoa abundance now sits condemned, crumbling along the abandoned Coney Island boardwalk. The remnants of the old hotel are still operated by Mrs. Dupree — in an unofficial and illegal capacity. It is used as a haven for squatters, street hustlers, and runaways — such as Anne and Kalliste.
