Oedipus Rex & The Motherfuckers' punk ethos are heavily reminiscent of the West Coast hardcore scene, and not what you typically hear in the bars and clubs of New York in 1986. Scatological elements and live bloodletting — echoes of GG Allin — push shows well beyond the norm.
