Nora Botill's life was idyllic, living on a picturesque farm in Nova Scotia, she and her husband Brant had two strapping young boys, Torben and Colby. They ran the farm together until Brant was granted the honor of joining the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and Nora took over in his absence. He carefully discussed each case with Nora, relying on his wife's deep sense of honor to guide his hand. One evening as the boys slept, Nora stood at her kitchen sink, washing the evening's dishes. Hearing footsteps on her front porch, she smiled knowing that her husband was finally home from a long running case. She hurried over to meet him, but when she reached the door she knew something was very wrong. A strange man rushed her, binding her wrists and tossing her on the porch before moving further into the house. Screaming for her sons, Nora's nostrils flared at the unmistakable smell of smoke. As black tendrils snaked out the door, Nora saw the flash of Brant's calvalry sabre. He stood over her, cutting her free, "RUN!" he begged. But as he drove on, Nora followed, unswayed in her effort to save her sons. Reaching their room, she saw Brant and the stranger clash as flames tore through the house. Before the heat could overtake her, Nora was dragged outside in a flash. "You can't save them." said the dark woman, "but you can avenge them." Walking through the ashes of her former life, she took up Brant's sword. With it she spends most nights dispensing vigilante justice to any whom dare offend. Her one constant companion is her trusty horse, Eindride.
